According to the Cleveland Museum of Art, this is a wine glass made in England between 1750 and 1799, by an unknown maker. It came to the museum as a gift from Mrs. Belle Bierce Stair. This glass is huge and all alone in the dark! It is clear and empty, with a super long stem like a giraffe neck and a shiny round foot. I like to find the white engraved flower that goes around the bowl, it has a big closed bud and lots of little leaves and round dots. Inside the stem there are white threads that cross like a net and two ribbons that twist like snail shells. If you look very close at the foot there is a tiny red dot hidden in the light. It looks very fragile.
