I love the faint red ruling that organizes everything and the larger initials that guide the eye. On the right, the narrow border balances the page: blue acanthus scrolls with shaded volume, burnished gold that still shines, plus greens, reds and ochre touches outlined in black. It is intimate work, made to be held close in the hands.

This page looks like a tiny treasure to hold with both hands. On the left there are many little brown letters in very neat rows, about sixteen lines, with light red lines framing them. Some starting letters are bigger so you do not get lost. On the right there is a pretty border that does not touch the text. It has blue swirls like curly plants, shiny golden leaves, green leaves, red flowers with yellow centers and little fruits. Everything has a thin black outline and looks very colorful and cheerful.
