What you would seeLo que verías
A centered, front-facing half-length portrait of a smiling man in a vivid royal-blue NASA flight suit. In the foreground his face is softly and evenly lit, short salt-and-pepper hair with gray at the temples, a broad smile showing teeth and gentle creases around the eyes. He wears a black crew-neck t-shirt beneath the zipped suit. On his left chest is a black patch with astronaut wings and the name «YURI KUBO» in white lettering; on his right chest is the NASA insignia — the blue sphere with white stars, red vector and white lettering. On his left sleeve is a full-color United States flag patch. Behind him, to the left of the frame, stands the American flag with crisp red and white stripes and white stars on blue; to the right, a dark-blue NASA flag with gold lettering and a circular emblem with orbital lines. The backdrop is a softly mottled blue gradient that gives depth without distraction. Studio lighting is even and flattering, with soft shadows, natural skin tones and rich but true-to-life colors. The composition is formal yet warm, filling the frame from mid-torso up.
How to look at itCómo mirarla
Start with his relaxed smile and direct gaze, then follow the patches on the flight suit to read his new institutional role. Notice how the two flags frame him symmetrically in the background and turn a personal portrait into a symbol of a collective endeavor.

I look at this official portrait and focus on how it is built to last. The soft, even studio light protects the face and the intense blue flight suit without creating harsh shadows, while the mottled blue gradient background adds depth without competing. I am interested in the textile insignias: the patch with the name YURI KUBO and the NASA logo, the flag on the sleeve. Everything is designed to preserve institutional identity with saturated yet natural colors.

For me this portrait marks the beginning of a path I deeply admire. Seeing the blue NASA flight suit, with the wings patch on the chest and the two flags behind, makes me think of the Johnson Space Center in Houston and the 2025 candidate class. The broad smile and brightly lit gaze convey warmth, as if Yuri Kubo were inviting us to follow space exploration starting from this carefully crafted official portrait.

I really like his smile! He looks happy in his blue NASA suit that looks like a superhero costume. On his chest it says YURI KUBO and on the other side it has the NASA logo. On his arm there is a little flag and behind him there are two big flags, one from the United States with red stripes and another blue one from NASA. The background is blue with little dots and everything shines nicely as if he is ready for a space adventure.
