The vertical, nearly square image shows a deep black background sprinkled with hundreds of small stars in turquoise, pale blue, and white. At the center stands a large, soft, translucent nebula, oval in shape and stretched upward, resembling a bud. Its edges are pink and reddish, with fine filaments curving like petals or smoke; toward the middle it turns paler, almost white and glowing, especially in its lower part, where several bright points gather. Below that core, like the stem of a flower, lies an irregular emerald-green and yellowish patch, mottled and lumpy in texture. Lower to the left, a small reddish swirl with a luminous center can be made out, and across the bottom center spreads another diffuse red cloud, less sharply defined. One especially bright star, midway up on the left, sends out cross-shaped spikes of light. There are no human figures and no everyday references for scale: everything floats in darkness, contrasting absolute black, dense pinpoint glints, and clouds of gas with a cottony, ethereal appearance.

First look at the bright core in the lower half of the pink cloud, where the newborn stars are concentrated. Then follow the green patch beneath it, like a stem, and notice how that contrast creates the impression of a rose. Finally, look for the small red swirl on the left and the faint cloud at the bottom: they prevent the scene from being just a pretty flower.

I love how the deep black background makes every hue stand out, from pale pink to intense red and the emerald green below. That star on the left with cross-shaped spikes reminds us that even light leaves traces on the image. Everything seems to float, cottony and fragile, as if it were breathing.

It looks like a giant rose in space! On top is the pink bud glowing bright in the middle, as if it had light inside, and below it has its green and yellow stem, all lumpy like modeling clay. There are tons of tiny turquoise and white stars sprinkled like glitter on black paper. On the left there is a super bright star with spikes and below a little red swirl. I like to imagine the nebula is about to bloom like a flower.
