What you would seeLo que verías
The image shows a complete periodic table on a solid black background, rendered with small, crisp digital typography. Each element sits inside a pastel-tinted rectangular cell, color-coded by chemical block: pinks and reds for alkali and alkaline earth metals on the left, pale yellows for nonmetals and noble gases on the right, light blues for halogens and others, grays for transition metals in the middle, and lilac pinks for lanthanides and actinides in two detached rows at the bottom. At the visual center, one cell is greatly enlarged for iron, showing a large black Fe symbol, atomic number 26 at the top right, atomic mass 55.845 at the top, ionization energy and electronegativity below, and oxidation states listed vertically on the right in gray. Surrounding cells form the standard 18-column by 7-period grid, each with the element name in English beneath the symbol and tiny numerical data along the edges. A small legend at the lower left maps colors to s, d, p and f blocks. The lighting is flat and even, with a smooth vector-graphic texture and no shadows. A tiny yellow sun-like cursor hovers over magnesium, suggesting interactivity.
How to look at itCómo mirarla
First take in the full grid and its color blocks to see the chemical families, then focus on the oversized iron cell at the center. Compare the tiny numbers and hues across cells to see how properties are encoded, and watch how the enlarged cell creates a focal point within the dense matrix.

The source identifies this as an SVG periodic table by user 2012rc on Wikimedia Commons, released on December 15, 2009 under CC BY 3.0 and listed as a featured picture. Its description states it includes for each element the name, atomic mass, electron configuration, first ionization energy and electronegativity. It is a modern educational rendering of the standard periodic table, probably using IUPAC data. The enlarged iron (Fe) cell points to an interactive highlight on hover. No further data on culture, technique or department is given beyond its status as a digital infographic.

The highlighted iron, element 26, is the most abundant metal in Earth's core and the key atom in human hemoglobin, shown here with its electron configuration [Ar] 3d6 4s2 beneath the symbol.

If you look closely you will see this is not a painting but a digital infographic in vector format, so the surface looks completely smooth, with no brushstrokes or varnish. I notice how color organizes the information: each chemical block has its own tone, pinks for alkali metals, pale yellows for nonmetals, grays for transition metals and lilacs for lanthanides and actinides below. The enlarged iron cell in the center tells me it is interactive and that the file is meant to be explored, not just hung on a wall.

For me this table is a map of the universe. Each cell is a brick that makes up stars, planets and ourselves. I stop at iron with atomic number 26 in the center, because it is the element where massive stars end their lives before exploding as supernovae. I like that the legend at the bottom left explains the s, p, d and f blocks with colors, and that magnesium has a small yellow sun as a cursor on top, as if someone were browsing between elements searching for what everything is made of.

It looks like a game with lots of little colored squares on a black background like outer space. Each square has big letters and tiny numbers in the corners. The square in the middle is the biggest and says Fe, that is iron and it is painted gray. I imagine that if you touch one it becomes big like that one. Below there are two separate rows of lilac squares and at the top left there are pink and red ones. There is also a little yellow dot shining over another square, as if it were magic.
